Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc is currently seeking 2 Permanent Enrolled Nurses, either Part Time or Full Time ( up to 10 shifts per fortnight).
Holds and maintains satisfactory police check no more than 3 years' old The Enrolled Nurse is resonsible to deliver and maintain high quality care and optimise the residents' well-being in a holistic manner in a home-like environment in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc. To develop professional and functional relationships with the medical, nursing and care staff, allied health professionals and domestic staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Registered as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and holds a current Annual Practicing Certificate
Holds and maintains satisfactory police check no more than 3 years' old
The Board of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc recognises both the importance of good governance and the complexity of the Not for profit Aged Care Sector, and that the governance knowledge of our organisations’ future board members is of utmost importance.
Our board is also keen to attract younger people to the board of Riverview, and believes that a combination of youth, age and varied skill mix, best supports the delivery of good well-informed governance.
The board of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc is therefore offering one board position for a Lutheran person under the age of 35, with a scholarship providing Governance training and membership to the Institute of Company Directors to the value of approx. $5,000, in exchange for a minimum of 4 years’ service on the board of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc.
The Australian Institute of Directors Foundations of Directorship courses Governance for Directors, Finance for Directors and Strategy and Risk for Directors, will provide valuable insight into the responsibilities of a board member and will equip the successful applicant with the skills to become a valuable contributor to the Riverview board, and any other governance roles they may undertake in the future.
The successful applicant will be required to attend 3 separate days of training in Adelaide, and attend and contribute to Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc’s board meetings.
Those wishing to apply should submit a letter of application in writing outlining their desire to improve their governance skills and to contribute to the governance of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc. for a minimum period of 4 years. Applicants should also outline any previous board, committee or governance experience in addition to providing information on any qualifications held, and/or skills they believe they could bring to the board of Riverview. A current CV/Resume, should also be submitted with the letter of application.
